Color Oxford Dictionary and Thesaurus

Format: Paperback

Condition: Poor Condition — £4.00
What do the conditions mean?

Our conditions mean the following:

  • New - a brand new book
  • Almost New - appears new but is actually secondhand.
  • Very Good - only minor imperfections such as minor scuffs to edge or cover or a price written in pencil or shop sticker.
  • Standard Secondhand - Clearly been read before, but not too bad. We do not recommend these for gifting. Spines usually creased. Could also include creases or folds to cover, some writing such as in the cover or elsewhere, underlining or highlighting, but might not do. Possibly some stains or marks. Similar in general to books in any secondhand shop or charity shop.
  • Poor Condition - Usually this will have a specific problem such as writing inside, water damage, missing dust jacket, heavy staining, large creases or cuts. These are readable copies but not nice ones. On other websites this condition is called 'Acceptable' or 'Fair' , but we want to be more honest.

The Color Oxford Dictionary and Thesaurus provides a complete dictionary and thesaurus in one handy volume. The last edition of this book was a huge success. Now, in its new edition, it has been fully updated and contains a new 30-page center section on Effective English which covers the basics of writing English and how to get the best out of your thesaurus. The design is extremely user-friendly. Each page is split between thesaurus and dictionary, with headwords, phrases, and key synonyms all in color, so they are easy to find. The dictionary contains over 50,000 words, phrases, and definitions, and the thesaurus provides 65,000 synonyms, ensuring all of your everyday vocabulary is covered.
This Dictionary and Thesaurus fits easily into a bag or back pack and is ideal at home, on the move, and in the office.
