La comuna 13 de Medellín es un sector habitado en su mayor parte, por personas humildes que cada día se esmeran por afrontar sus necesidades y por salir adelante, aún en medio de las condiciones más precarias y desfavorables. Muchas de ellas quedaron en medio de los grupos armados y fueron víctimas de diversos hechos violentos.
Éste libro es un homenaje aquellas personas que han sufrido mucho y que directa o indirectamente estuvieron expuestas a la difícil situación allí vivida. También a quienes inocentemente sucumbieron por las balas de un conflicto armado que extinguió la vida de cientos de personas.
