What do the conditions mean?
Our conditions mean the following:
- New - a brand new book
- Almost New - appears new but is actually secondhand.
- Very Good - only minor imperfections such as minor scuffs to edge or cover or a price written in pencil or shop sticker.
- Standard Secondhand - Clearly been read before, but not too bad. We do not recommend these for gifting. Spines usually creased. Could also include creases or folds to cover, some writing such as in the cover or elsewhere, underlining or highlighting, but might not do. Possibly some stains or marks. Similar in general to books in any secondhand shop or charity shop.
- Poor Condition - Usually this will have a specific problem such as writing inside, water damage, missing dust jacket, heavy staining, large creases or cuts. These are readable copies but not nice ones. On other websites this condition is called 'Acceptable' or 'Fair' , but we want to be more honest.

Lucky Luke fait la rencontre de Denver Miles et Colorado Bill. Ils font la route ensemble et ils arrivent à Gold Hill, une ville fantôme. Cette ville ne compte qu’un seul habitant qui se nomme Powell.
Cet homme creuse une mine depuis des années sans jamais avoir trouvé d’or. Il continue car il persuadé qu’il y en a. Les habitants de la ville voisine, Bingo Creek, pensent que le vieux Powell est devenu fou. Denver et Colorado veulent s’emparer de la mine et la revendre à gros prix en faisant croire qu’il y a beaucoup d’or dans cette mine. Ils vont essayer de l’acheter à Powell, ils vont l’accusé d’être un sorcier, d’être une voleur de bétail et aussi d’avoir voler l’argent du saloon.
L’aventure va se poursuivre par une ruée vers l’or, mais les gens vont réaliser très rapidement qu’il n’y a pas d’or. Finalement, les chercheurs d’or vont décider de rester dans la région pour cultiver la terre.
