A mother and a father are travelling across Europe to the Wedding. Their daughter is getting married. The mother takes a coach from Slovakia- the father is riding a motorbike from France. They meet for the first time in many years near the estuary of the river Po. Many people cross the pages of their story- Frederico, an Italian scrap merchant; a band of young computer hackers; Thomas, who writes encyclopedias; Gino, their future son-in-law, whose passion is fishing; Dr Gastaldi, who breaks the bad news; a painted Madonna in a roadside shrine. On her wedding day Ninon will kick off her shoes and dance forever with Gino as the band strikes up 'Last Friday Drives Monday Crazy'. This is a story of a wedding such as could only take place at the end of our century, told by a Greek who loves quoting Sophocles.

Could also include creases or folds to cover, some writing such as in the cover or elsewhere, underlining or highlighting, but might not do. Possibly some stains or marks. Similar in general to books in any secondhand shop or charity shop.
- Poor Condition - Usually this will have a specific problem such as writing inside, water damage, missing dust jacket, heavy staining, large creases or cuts. These are readable copies but not nice ones. On other websites this condition is called 'Acceptable' or 'Fair' , but we want to be more honest.
