A Year in Architecture

Format: Hardback

Condition: Standard Secondhand — £8.31
What do the conditions mean?

Our conditions mean the following:

  • New - a brand new book
  • Almost New - appears new but is actually secondhand.
  • Very Good - only minor imperfections such as minor scuffs to edge or cover or a price written in pencil or shop sticker.
  • Standard Secondhand - Clearly been read before, but not too bad. We do not recommend these for gifting. Spines usually creased. Could also include creases or folds to cover, some writing such as in the cover or elsewhere, underlining or highlighting, but might not do. Possibly some stains or marks. Similar in general to books in any secondhand shop or charity shop.
  • Poor Condition - Usually this will have a specific problem such as writing inside, water damage, missing dust jacket, heavy staining, large creases or cuts. These are readable copies but not nice ones. On other websites this condition is called 'Acceptable' or 'Fair' , but we want to be more honest.

A glorious tribute to some of the world's finest structures The newest addition to this highly successful series offers a daily example of architectural splendour, from the Egyptian pyramids and Rome's Coliseum to groundbreaking masterpieces by today's leading designers. Those looking for a gift to delight the architecture lover in their lives will find the answer in this book - providing a journey through history and around the globe. Presented in brilliantly coloured double-page spreads, each day features a photograph of an architectural icon, details about where and when the building was constructed, an appropriate quote or aphorism and blank space for personal notes and dates. These important structures represent nearly every architectural style and function. The gorgeous images in this book allow readers to appreciate mankind's extraordinary accomplishments while deriving inspiration from them every day of the year. AUTHORS Claudia Stauble is an art historian, author and editor for books on art, architecture and fashion. She lives and works in Munich.
