Vanaf 25 april laten de Britse schrijvers en filosofen Alain de Botton & John Armstrong in het Rijksmuseum zien wat kunst voor de bezoeker kan betekenen. Niet zozeer vanuit (kunst)historisch oogpunt, maar met nadruk op het therapeutisch effect dat kunst kan hebben en de levensvragen die kunst kan beantwoorden. De Botton (1969) en Armstrong (1966) becommentariëren in de tentoonstelling Art Is Therapy 150 kunstwerken uit de presentatie van het gehele Rijksmuseum, van de Middeleeuwen tot en met de 20ste eeuw, inclusief het Aziatisch Paviljoen, maar ook schrijven zij teksten bij de winkel, het café, de garderobe en de entree. Tevens maken zij een keuze van ca. 40 prenten uit het Prentenkabinet van het museum. De teksten zijn vormgegeven door Irma Boom en toegevoegd aan de oorspronkelijke museumteksten. Zij werpen volgens De Botton en Armstrong een geheel nieuw licht op de Rijksmuseum-collectie. De filosofen brengen met deze tentoonstelling voor de eerste keer hun theorieën in de praktijk die zij verwoordden in hun nieuwste boek Art As Therapy. 0Exhibition: Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam, the Netherlands (25.04-07.09.2014).

These are readable copies but not nice ones. On other websites this condition is called 'Acceptable' or 'Fair' , but we want to be more honest.
