Benson And Hedges Snooker Year Book Fourth Edition
by Terry Smith
Format: Paperback
What do the conditions mean?
Our conditions mean the following:
- New - a brand new book
- Almost New - appears new but is actually secondhand.
- Very Good - only minor imperfections such as minor scuffs to edge or cover or a price written in pencil or shop sticker.
- Standard Secondhand - Clearly been read before, but not too bad. We do not recommend these for gifting. Spines usually creased. Could also include creases or folds to cover, some writing such as in the cover or elsewhere, underlining or highlighting, but might not do. Possibly some stains or marks. Similar in general to books in any secondhand shop or charity shop.
- Poor Condition - Usually this will have a specific problem such as writing inside, water damage, missing dust jacket, heavy staining, large creases or cuts. These are readable copies but not nice ones. On other websites this condition is called 'Acceptable' or 'Fair' , but we want to be more honest.

The fourth edition of Benson and Hedges Snooker Year has a great new look in both content and design and is now even more attractive and entertaining. The book provides a complete record of the snooker year, laced with lively comment and illustrated with many superb photographs. There is coverage of all the personalities in the game and the moments of drama and triumph they have experienced during the season - what (and how much) they won and what they lost. Articles by leading Fleet Street writers include The Colourful Story of Television and Snooker' and The Rise and Rise of Barry Hearn's Romford Empire'. The amateur game is well represented, as is women's snooker (there is a portrait of rising star Allison Fisher), and the official rules of both snooker and billiards are included in full for the first time. This year the editor'schair has been taken over by Terry Smith, Daily Telegraph snooker correspondent and joint editor ofPot Black magazine; his distinguished associate editor is former World Champion Dennis Taylor.
