BerlitzMadrid Pocket Guide (Berlitz Pocket Guides)

Format: Paperback

Condition: Standard Secondhand — £1.00
What do the conditions mean?

Our conditions mean the following:

  • New - a brand new book
  • Almost New - appears new but is actually secondhand.
  • Very Good - only minor imperfections such as minor scuffs to edge or cover or a price written in pencil or shop sticker.
  • Standard Secondhand - Clearly been read before, but not too bad. We do not recommend these for gifting. Spines usually creased. Could also include creases or folds to cover, some writing such as in the cover or elsewhere, underlining or highlighting, but might not do. Possibly some stains or marks. Similar in general to books in any secondhand shop or charity shop.
  • Poor Condition - Usually this will have a specific problem such as writing inside, water damage, missing dust jacket, heavy staining, large creases or cuts. These are readable copies but not nice ones. On other websites this condition is called 'Acceptable' or 'Fair' , but we want to be more honest.

Berlitz Pocket Guide Madrid combines lively text with vivid full-colour photography to highlight the very best that this historic city has to offer. The Where To Go chapter details all the key sights and places to visit in Madrid, from the bustling cafés of Plaza Mayor and the royal palaces of El Escorial and Palacio Real, to the world-famous art collection of the Prado museum and the best tapas and flamenco bars in town. Handy maps on the cover flaps help you to get around with ease.

To inspire you, the book offers a rundown of the Top 10 Attractions in Madrid, followed by an itinerary for a Perfect Day in the city. The What to Do chapter is a snapshot of ways to spend your spare time, from shopping and sports to live music and nightlife.

You'll also be armed with background information, including a brief history of Madrid and an Eating Out chapter covering its convivial cuisine. There are carefully chosen listings of the best hotels and restaurants, and an A-Z to give you all the practical information you will need.
