Dead Men Talk

Format: Paperback

Condition: Poor Condition — £3.23
What do the conditions mean?

Our conditions mean the following:

  • New - a brand new book
  • Almost New - appears new but is actually secondhand.
  • Very Good - only minor imperfections such as minor scuffs to edge or cover or a price written in pencil or shop sticker.
  • Standard Secondhand - Clearly been read before, but not too bad. We do not recommend these for gifting. Spines usually creased. Could also include creases or folds to cover, some writing such as in the cover or elsewhere, underlining or highlighting, but might not do. Possibly some stains or marks. Similar in general to books in any secondhand shop or charity shop.
  • Poor Condition - Usually this will have a specific problem such as writing inside, water damage, missing dust jacket, heavy staining, large creases or cuts. These are readable copies but not nice ones. On other websites this condition is called 'Acceptable' or 'Fair' , but we want to be more honest.

The telltale fingerprint. The DNA traced from a hair. Autopsies to establish cause and time of death. Ballistics to discover what gun was used. Tyre prints, dentals records, body fluids, maggots ... It's all the stuff of the modern police TV drama. But forensics is a very real and vital part of solving any crime. And with modern technologies, the science of forensics has never been more relevant. Sandra Mara delves into the fascinating world of the Irish forensics investigator. She describes how the Garda's Forensic Science Laboratory has cracked some of Ireland's most notorious crimes. She writes in literally forensic detail about the clues that have led to the high-profile arrests of murderers and criminals such as Joe O'Reilly, Sharon Collins and the Mulhall sisters. From retina scanning to ballistics, toxicology to graphology, pathology to criminal profiling, the world of Dead Men Talk will draw you in and leave you breathless
