What do the conditions mean?
Our conditions mean the following:
New - a brand new book
Almost New - appears new but is actually secondhand.
Very Good - only minor imperfections such as minor scuffs to edge or cover or a price written in pencil or shop sticker.
Standard Secondhand - Clearly been read before, but not too bad. We do not recommend these for gifting. Spines usually creased. Could also include creases or folds to cover, some writing such as in the cover or elsewhere, underlining or highlighting, but might not do. Possibly some stains or marks. Similar in general to books in any secondhand shop or charity shop.
Poor Condition - Usually this will have a specific problem such as writing inside, water damage, missing dust jacket, heavy staining, large creases or cuts. These are readable copies but not nice ones. On other websites this condition is called 'Acceptable' or 'Fair' , but we want to be more honest.
Friendly monsters introduce key math and English skills to prepare for KS1, helping to make learning fun and engaging. The curriculum-based skills practice is accompanied by fun activities, stickers, and a monster mask to reward and motivate. Plenty of practice and reinforcement of the alphabet skills covered in school is provided. This unique series for children aged three to seven combines all the fun and appeal of traditional character-based activity books with real educational value. Parents can be assured that these books match the new curriculum and provide invaluable practice in key skills, whilst children will love the characters, stickers, fun activities, and monster mask. There are original and appealing monster characters that kids will love, as well as real educational value in curriculum-based skills practice. There is also lots of added value—stickers, monster mask and supporting website—and plenty of practice and reinforcement of alphabet skills covered in school.
