What do the conditions mean?

Our conditions mean the following:

  • New - a brand new book
  • Almost New - appears new but is actually secondhand.
  • Very Good - only minor imperfections such as minor scuffs to edge or cover or a price written in pencil or shop sticker.
  • Standard Secondhand - Clearly been read before, but not too bad. We do not recommend these for gifting. Spines usually creased. Could also include creases or folds to cover, some writing such as in the cover or elsewhere, underlining or highlighting, but might not do. Possibly some stains or marks. Similar in general to books in any secondhand shop or charity shop.
  • Poor Condition - Usually this will have a specific problem such as writing inside, water damage, missing dust jacket, heavy staining, large creases or cuts. These are readable copies but not nice ones. On other websites this condition is called 'Acceptable' or 'Fair' , but we want to be more honest.

This CGP How to Revise for A-Level: Study Skills & Planner is a book you'll want by your side from the moment you start choosing your A-levels, right up until your final exams. It's helpfully split up into sections, kicking off with an introduction to A-Levels. Then there's heaps of advice for studying throughout your courses - from getting organised, staying motivated, making effective notes and writing essays! We've dedicated a section to revision - how to get started, techniques you can use, and importantly, how to look after yourself. There's also guidance on what to do before, during and after an exam. And if that wasn't enough there are write-in timetables and topic planners for keeping track of revision. Plus, we’ve thrown in a free Online Edition that lets you read the entire book on a PC, Mac or tablet - just use the unique code printed inside the cover to gain access. If you're planning on going on to higher education post-18 don't miss our How to get into University book (9781789085556).
