What do the conditions mean?
Our conditions mean the following:
- New - a brand new book
- Almost New - appears new but is actually secondhand.
- Very Good - only minor imperfections such as minor scuffs to edge or cover or a price written in pencil or shop sticker.
- Standard Secondhand - Clearly been read before, but not too bad. We do not recommend these for gifting. Spines usually creased. Could also include creases or folds to cover, some writing such as in the cover or elsewhere, underlining or highlighting, but might not do. Possibly some stains or marks. Similar in general to books in any secondhand shop or charity shop.
- Poor Condition - Usually this will have a specific problem such as writing inside, water damage, missing dust jacket, heavy staining, large creases or cuts. These are readable copies but not nice ones. On other websites this condition is called 'Acceptable' or 'Fair' , but we want to be more honest.

Figures picturales d'une rare puissance, les Mandalas de Raza invitent à méditer et à se fondre dans la vie qui anime tout être. Ils sont ici accompagnés de textes tirés de la tradition indienne ancienne (Vedas, Upanishads...) ou plus récente (Lallâ, Kabîr, mais aussi Ramakrishna ou encore Gandhi) aussi bien que de la littérature occidentale : Baudelaire, Rilke, Jung, Kandinsky. Les oeuvres de Raza sont inclassables : proches par certains aspects des recherches abstraites des artistes occidentaux, elles renvoient aussi à la peinture de l'Inde du Nord. La combinaison de formes géométriques qui organisent son oeuvre depuis les années quatre-vingts (cercles concentriques, triangles qui s'enchevêtrent, carrés, point d'énergie), est un avatar d'une très ancienne tradition indienne, celle des mandalas, qui s'est répandue avec le bouddhisme dans toute l'Asie.
Dans ce volume, l'artiste s'entretient avec Olivier Germain-Thomas, producteur à France Culture et écrivain (Mosaïque du feu), sur son parcours et sa pratique artistique.
Les Mandalas de Raza sont accompagnées des textes d'Olivier Germain-Thomas qui explore la symbolique des 40 oeuvres rassemblées.
