What do the conditions mean?

Our conditions mean the following:

  • New - a brand new book
  • Almost New - appears new but is actually secondhand.
  • Very Good - only minor imperfections such as minor scuffs to edge or cover or a price written in pencil or shop sticker.
  • Standard Secondhand - Clearly been read before, but not too bad. We do not recommend these for gifting. Spines usually creased. Could also include creases or folds to cover, some writing such as in the cover or elsewhere, underlining or highlighting, but might not do. Possibly some stains or marks. Similar in general to books in any secondhand shop or charity shop.
  • Poor Condition - Usually this will have a specific problem such as writing inside, water damage, missing dust jacket, heavy staining, large creases or cuts. These are readable copies but not nice ones. On other websites this condition is called 'Acceptable' or 'Fair' , but we want to be more honest.

Number Tower Mental Arithmetic Puzzles Welcome to this brand-new book containing 200 Number Tower mental arithmetic puzzles.

These puzzles are a fantastic way to practice and develop your maths and arithmetic skills in a fun and engaging way! You must fill the rest of the numbers in a partially-filled number tower to solve each puzzle. The numbers generally start small at the top and get larger as you work your way up the tower, so the maths consequently gets harder as you work your way up the tower.

The number to be placed in each square is the sum of the two squares underneath it. Therefore if you have two adjacent numbers, you will use addition to find the number above them. If you know one of the two numbers under a square and the value in that square itself, then you will use subtraction to find the third number, so these puzzles are great for testing and developing both your addition and subtraction skills.

All answers are included at the back of the book - we hope you enjoy solving these engaging mental arithmetic puzzles, and developing your maths skills in the process. Can you climb every tower?
