Once Upon a Wild Wood
What do the conditions mean?
Our conditions mean the following:
- New - a brand new book
- Almost New - appears new but is actually secondhand.
- Very Good - only minor imperfections such as minor scuffs to edge or cover or a price written in pencil or shop sticker.
- Standard Secondhand - Clearly been read before, but not too bad. We do not recommend these for gifting. Spines usually creased. Could also include creases or folds to cover, some writing such as in the cover or elsewhere, underlining or highlighting, but might not do. Possibly some stains or marks. Similar in general to books in any secondhand shop or charity shop.
- Poor Condition - Usually this will have a specific problem such as writing inside, water damage, missing dust jacket, heavy staining, large creases or cuts. These are readable copies but not nice ones. On other websites this condition is called 'Acceptable' or 'Fair' , but we want to be more honest.

A richly imagined story from the award-winning Chris Riddell, packed full of familiar fairy tale characters as you've never seen them before.Little Green Raincape is on her way to Rapunzel's party, deep in the wild woods. The way is long and dark, but Green is a smart girl. Smart enough to turn down apples offered by kindly old ladies and travel advice from seemingly helpful wolves and, above all, smart enough to solve a wealth of classic fairy tale problems - including mending a lovelorn beast's broken heart.Once Upon a Wild Wood is a wonderfully fantastic story filled with fairy tale favourites, including Red Riding Hood, Thumbelina, Rapunzel, Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, the three bears, the seven dwarfs, and many more!A visual feast on every page, illustrated with warmth and humour and full of witty details to discover - this is Chris Riddell at his picture book best!
