Rome(Cadogan City Guides)

Format: Paperback

Condition: Standard Secondhand — £1.00
What do the conditions mean?

Our conditions mean the following:

  • New - a brand new book
  • Almost New - appears new but is actually secondhand.
  • Very Good - only minor imperfections such as minor scuffs to edge or cover or a price written in pencil or shop sticker.
  • Standard Secondhand - Clearly been read before, but not too bad. We do not recommend these for gifting. Spines usually creased. Could also include creases or folds to cover, some writing such as in the cover or elsewhere, underlining or highlighting, but might not do. Possibly some stains or marks. Similar in general to books in any secondhand shop or charity shop.
  • Poor Condition - Usually this will have a specific problem such as writing inside, water damage, missing dust jacket, heavy staining, large creases or cuts. These are readable copies but not nice ones. On other websites this condition is called 'Acceptable' or 'Fair' , but we want to be more honest.

Offering the individualism, quality, and knowledge for which Cadogan Guides are renowned, a Cadogan City Guide is like exploring with your best and wittiest friend. Inspiring color photography and extensive clear mapping introduce you to a city quickly and easily. A unique introductory section offers loads of ideas to help you plan out your days, whether your interest is architecture, culture, outdoor activities, or romance. Along the way the best local cafes and restaurants are marked out -- all so you can get the best out of a city in a short time. And this is just the start -- well-mapped neighborhood chapters get you under the skin of an area. You'll find themed walks, days out further afield, and masses of carefully researched practical information about where to have fun, eat, and stay. It is said that Rome contains more sights than any other city in the world, and the eternal city's staggering wealth of historic monuments, paintings, sculptures, Romanesque churches, Rococo fountains, and Renaissance palazzi draws millions of visitors every year. Cadogan's Italy experts explore every jam-packed inch of the capital, providing a fresh take on the tourist attractions of the last two thousand from the otherworldliness of the Forum to the magnetic Trevi Fountain. The guide contains a special section on the Vatican City and Sistine Chapel, with detailed plans, and gives comprehensive information on hotels, restaurants, entertainment, activities, and festivals.
