Running With Our Eyes Closed1 (Empty Nested)

Format: Paperback

Condition: Standard Secondhand — £4.41
What do the conditions mean?

Our conditions mean the following:

  • New - a brand new book
  • Almost New - appears new but is actually secondhand.
  • Very Good - only minor imperfections such as minor scuffs to edge or cover or a price written in pencil or shop sticker.
  • Standard Secondhand - Clearly been read before, but not too bad. We do not recommend these for gifting. Spines usually creased. Could also include creases or folds to cover, some writing such as in the cover or elsewhere, underlining or highlighting, but might not do. Possibly some stains or marks. Similar in general to books in any secondhand shop or charity shop.
  • Poor Condition - Usually this will have a specific problem such as writing inside, water damage, missing dust jacket, heavy staining, large creases or cuts. These are readable copies but not nice ones. On other websites this condition is called 'Acceptable' or 'Fair' , but we want to be more honest.

Samantha's nest is empty now, and she's not sure about much of anything - life in Dallas, marriage, happiness, the future. How had she ended up here - wondering who she was, what she wanted from her life now

"But not one aha! moment -- not a single incident that would suggest disrupting your life of twenty-some odd years was an obvious or necessary choice. No, it creeps up on you, one day at a time, while you're busy living. You hear your voice, at first a whisper, begging you to listen. 'Where have you gone?"

She heads to Italy in search of answers, prepared to leave the last twenty-five years of her life behind. Connecting with her husband, Michael, proves to be more than she'd bargained for. Samantha soon discovers he has secrets and an agenda of his own that could change their lives forever. Life has had its way with them and nothing is quite what they'd imagined it would be.

Over seven days in one of the most romantic countries in the world, Samantha faces the past she thought she had overcome and begins to redefine her role as a woman, wife and mother.
