What do the conditions mean?
Our conditions mean the following:
- New - a brand new book
- Almost New - appears new but is actually secondhand.
- Very Good - only minor imperfections such as minor scuffs to edge or cover or a price written in pencil or shop sticker.
- Standard Secondhand - Clearly been read before, but not too bad. We do not recommend these for gifting. Spines usually creased. Could also include creases or folds to cover, some writing such as in the cover or elsewhere, underlining or highlighting, but might not do. Possibly some stains or marks. Similar in general to books in any secondhand shop or charity shop.
- Poor Condition - Usually this will have a specific problem such as writing inside, water damage, missing dust jacket, heavy staining, large creases or cuts. These are readable copies but not nice ones. On other websites this condition is called 'Acceptable' or 'Fair' , but we want to be more honest.

"Meet Laney Samms -- on the very morning when her life will change forever. She is gathering the courage to tell her partner of twenty years that she wants out. Little does she realize that her entire world is about to turn upside down. Is she leaving Anne for another woman? Well...yes and no. A hot, hot, hot woman has come into the bar Laney owns. A woman named Rhonda. But Laney has yet to meet this mystery woman who has fired her imagination as no woman has for years. It turns out that Rhonda is as hot as Laney's dreams. It also turns out that Rhonda is married. And then some. Her husband is an Episcopal priest. Then, a seemingly unrelated and tragic event...a driveby shooting claims the life of a patron of Laney's bar. And from there Laney's relationship with Rhonda careens out of all control, and Laney is plunged into an undreamed-of foment of darkness and homicide and passion..." -- Publisher's description.
