The Management DelusionWhat if we're doing it all wrong?

Condition: Standard Secondhand — £1.00
What do the conditions mean?

Our conditions mean the following:

  • New - a brand new book
  • Almost New - appears new but is actually secondhand.
  • Very Good - only minor imperfections such as minor scuffs to edge or cover or a price written in pencil or shop sticker.
  • Standard Secondhand - Clearly been read before, but not too bad. We do not recommend these for gifting. Spines usually creased. Could also include creases or folds to cover, some writing such as in the cover or elsewhere, underlining or highlighting, but might not do. Possibly some stains or marks. Similar in general to books in any secondhand shop or charity shop.
  • Poor Condition - Usually this will have a specific problem such as writing inside, water damage, missing dust jacket, heavy staining, large creases or cuts. These are readable copies but not nice ones. On other websites this condition is called 'Acceptable' or 'Fair' , but we want to be more honest.

Whether you manage a team, a department, or an entire company, The Management Delusion is a must read for every modern manager.

After years of managing and training managers at every level of the org chart, the founder of DoThings Matt Casey realised we are going about everything all wrong. We don't need to make the managers better, we need to make management easier.

Funny and insightful, The Management Delusion will change the way you think about management forever, and leave you wondering why we ever made the job so complicated in the first place.

In this ground-breaking book, Casey expertly lays out the failures of conventional management, and provides shockingly simple approaches to every day management activities that anyone can implement. Whether it's goal setting, performance reviews, delegating, career development, recurring meetings or pay reviews, you'll find new ways to think about old problems that make your life easier, and your employees more engaged.
